Fortnite version 16.00 has appeared in the update files, meaning that Epic Games is currently not behind its original schedule.
There are only two major updates left for the current Season 5, those being v.15.40 and v.15.50.
Patch 15.40 is expected for this week, and 15.50 will likely be deployed early March. Season 5 officially ends on March 16, 2021.
Dataminer ShiinaBR has recently revealed a very interesting development — changes to the music playlists were made, which is indicative of a live event coming to the game.
Chances are that a live event will inaugurate the new season.
