Following on from the VALORANT Masters, the new cinematic was released. DUALITY shows Agents fighting to disarm a Spike, much like players would in-game, before finishing with a Mirror Universe confirmation.
VALORANT players always love a good tease, especially when it is clues about the next Agent to come to the game. However it is a little less fun when leaks reveal everything in advance, before any planned teasers and trailers.
This is what has just happened for Kay_0.
The robot Agent received a teaser during the Summer Game Fest presentation, and had fans talking about who they are as well as the potential link to Killjoy.
Kay_0 was supposedly due to be revealed at a festival next week, on June 22, when Riot Games will celebrate the one year anniversary of VALORANT.
In the leaked images, we can see the new Agent on Breeze with some sort of purple aura around him. It is thought that Kay_0 can disable enemy abilities, so perhaps this aura acts as an indicator for this skill?
In the recent blog post, Riot revealed some details about Kay_0:
"He is an agent who will have the utility of creating moments when you will have to rely on your arsenal. The new Agent is coming soon, and we can't wait to see what you think when he finally says hello!" announced John Goscicki, Character Producer.
This gives the idea that his skills will be capable of blocking enemies or removing their ability to use abilities. With the circle aura in the leaks, fans are questioning if the new Agent will be able to project an area which blocks enemy abilities fired from outside the aura; something which is seen regularly in League of Legends abilities like Gwen's Ultimate, Xin Zhao's Ultimate, and Samira's W.
Either way, it looks like we have another week until we get any official news, which should confirm this as the new Agent and their abilities; as well as their lore and link to Killjoy. For now, it seems fans believe this is the 'Grenadier' Agent, and that the name is a play on words; referencing "K/O".
The next character to come to VALORANT will be Agent 16, currently codenamed Grenadier. They might not necassarily be coming soon, but we know they're on their way. Here is what we know.
