The second preview for the season finale in Fortnite, posted on the game's social media channels, reveals more of the IO's plan to end the Alien occupation for good.
In it, we can see several diagrams showing spherical explosive charges, perched on the sides of the islets that are currently being absorbed by the Mothership.
Along with the plans, we can see the following message:
The IO plan is, at the very least, quite readable here. The organization has booby trapped the rocky islands that are being targeted by Aliens.
Once these fragments enter the saucer, they'll explode and destroy the Mothership. At the time of writing, we can see the bombs on the sides of the islands directly in-game.
Smart enough, the IO plan however misses one detail -- what will happen if the burning mothership crashes on the island? We may well be witnessing a second Big Bang...
Either way, the live event on September 12 is likely to be quite spectacular and full of special effects.
Taking place on September 12, Operation Sky Fire will usher in the end of Season 7, and introduce Season 8. Epic Games has revealed a first teaser for the event.
