Summer Game Fest VS E3 in 2023?
0

While the Summer Game fest 2022 will be launched next Thursday at 9 p.m., the ESA announces the return of the E3 brand for the year 2023, with a digital event and a new physical event in Los Angeles. Does this sound the death knell for Geoff Keighley's festivities?

Summer Game Fest VS E3 in 2023?

While the conferences will still take place from Thursday evening at 9 p.m. thanks to the Summer Game Fest, the ESA seems to have finished debating the sequence of events for next year. It is said: there will be a 2023 edition for the Los Angeles Convention Center show started in 1995.

The big return of E3 in 2023

After purely and simply canceling E3 2022, the ESA has clearly announced that it wants to think about the future of the brand. And this time it's official, unless a new outbreak hits the world, E3 2023 will indeed take place with a physical event to be held in Los Angeles. In any case, this is what ESA President Stan Pierre-Louis asserts in the columns of the Washington Post .

We are excited to return in 2023 with both a digital and in-person event. As much as we love these digital events, and as much as they touch people and we want that global reach, we also know there's a really strong desire for people to come together - to be able to connect in person and to see each other and talk about what makes the games great.

Summer Game Fest 2022: A chaotic schedule

One could reproach many things to the various editions of the Electronic Entertainment Expo, but certainly not their organization and the diffusion of conferences by the large actors of the industry at fixed times (although often very late for Europeans). While waiting to see how things will go in 2023, we will still have to deal with the Summer Game Fest proposed by Geoff Keighley , and despite 3 editions, things still seem disjointed to say the least. Between the too large number of different lives, participants outside SGF or not... There is nothing fundamentally serious in that, players who want a nice trailer will probably be served, but we already feel from here that the rhythm is likely to be painful for the relentless ones who wish to follow everything.

Fortnite soon in FPS like Warzone?

Will Fortnite become a first-person shooter like CoD? This is what dataminers insinuate, after the discovery of a game mode under study at Epic Games. Will the publisher risk such a change?
