Updating from one edition to another: the details
Upgrade from any digital edition to the Collector's Edition (Physical)
If you purchase a digital copy of Dragonflight (Base, Heroic, or Epic) and upgrade to a Collector's Edition later, you will automatically be credited with the cost of the digital version to your Blizzard Wallet (provided that you enter the Collector's Edition key before the deadline expires). When you enter your Collector's Edition key, the original transaction will be visible to Blizzard in your account and the credit will be added automatically.
Upgrade from Base Edition to Heroic Edition or Epic Edition, then to Collector's Edition
If you purchase the Base Edition of Dragonflight, then upgrade to the Heroic Edition or Epic Edition, and then upgrade that to the Collector's Edition (Physical) again, your Blizzard currency will be credited with the amount paid when purchasing the Base Edition.
Upgrade from Heroic Edition to Epic Edition and then to Collector's Edition
If you purchase the Heroic Edition of Dragonflight, then upgrade to the Epic Edition, and then upgrade to the Collector's Edition (Physical) again, your Blizzard Wallet will be credited of the amount paid when purchasing the Heroic Edition.
Upgrade from Base Edition to Heroic Edition or Epic Edition
If you purchase the Base Edition of Dragonflight, you will be able to upgrade to the Heroic Edition or the Epic Edition for the price of the difference between the two versions.
