Season 3 of Stranger Things is coming to your screens on July 4. As you well know, Epic Games likes to do crossover events — as we have seen with Fortnite x Avengers and Fortnite x John Wick.
As a result, fans were beginning to imagine a possible crossover with the Netflix series Stranger Things, through an event during which you would be able to walk into the Upside Down and hunt the "Man with No Face" while wearing your best Eleven skin.
Rumors were confirmed as the official artwork of the event was unveiled by Epic Games and dataminers found files showing that James "Jim" Hopper and the Demogorgon will be in the game. In addition to this, a few days ago portals similar to those in the series appeared in game.
For now, there are six portals spead throughout the map, but the number seems to be increasing. Besides, a Scoops Ahoy ice cream parlor — where Steve "the Babysitter" Harrington works in the trailer for the third season of the series — has been part of Mega Mall and life-regenerating ice cream cones have been seen by players since July 2.
Just one day before the premiere of Stranger Things Season 3, Fortnite was therefore preparing something based on the series' universe for us.
