When it's not the the Infinity Blade, it's the mechs. When the mechs are nerfed, then the building system is changed. Between Epic Games' Fortnite and its players, it's not crazy love right now.
Yesterday, the building system — a central game mechanic — was heavily nerfed by the developer. To build is now three times longer, and some of the advanced techniques used by players to win their games simply cannot be used any longer.
Those who suffer the most are obviously professional players and streamers who have devoted hundreds of hours to mastering this mechanism. It also happens that within the community, their voices are those most listened to — and now, accompanied by their millions of fans, they have stormed Twitter to make sure they are being heard.
That's how the #FortniteEND hashtag was born, one that took Twitter by surprise by asking players to uninstall the game and go spend their time on other games, such as Apex or Minecraft. Epic Games has already explained the turbo building nerf: it is a question of balancing the chances of victory between players with fast Internet connections and those without. The reason seems legitimate, but will Epic be forced to back down because of the strength of the FortniteEND movement?
We will have to wait for the next few hours or days to find out!
