The Division Rivals mode, which arrived last year to replace online seasons, returns this season alongside the Squad Battles, Draft, FUT Friendlies and FUT Champions on the FIFA Ultimate Team modes of FIFA 20.
Like the ladder of the Squad Battles, playing your division matches will allow you to place yourself in different rankings. These give you access to weekly competitions and rewards based on your performance.
Find your place
To start, you will have to play five "placement" matches in order to obtain a technical score which determines the division that you will be placed in.
The result of each match played during the week will impact your technical score and of course, getting more points will allow you to move up to the next division. Each week of Division Rivals is like a competition and your final score will determine your position among 5 different ranks within your division. This season, the Rivals Division's technical score scale has been modified for FUT 20:

Matchmaking has also changed so that a player who has reached the 2,200-point mark can still find an opponent easily.
No pain, no gain
At the end of each Division Rivals week, on Wednesday night from 11:00 pm, you will have the opportunity to choose a reward determined by your final rank. You can choose between tradeable packs, non-tradeable packs, or coins in addition to your FUT Champions Points. The following tables show the possible rewards, with each column representing an option of which you may pick one, upon successfully achieving that rank. Only on weekends
In addition to the pack rewards, you will accumulate (by playing in rival divisions) FUT Champions Points that you can exchange for a direct qualification ticket for the FUT Champions weekend of your choice (2000 points).
It can be quite complicated to reach the 2000 points required to unlock the weekend league access token. Indeed, the more you are in a lower division, the less points you win after each game and vice versa.
The advantage, however, is that it is not necessary to win several games in a row to hope to qualify. Nevertheless, the lowest performing players will have to be patient to reach the 2000 points in order to participate in a FUT Champions weekend.
