Squad Battles allow you to compete against AI-controlled and randomly generated FUT 20 teams every day. As a bonus, you can challenge a team selected by a professional player, YouTuber or streamer every week. And this year, new for FIFA 20, you will also have the opportunity to compete against the TOTW several times, until you get a score that you're happy with.
This mode can be very lucrative, especially at the beginning of the game when coins are difficult to collect and you haven't mastered the new game perfectly yet.
Play at your own pace
The biggest change in Squad Battles in FUT 20 concerns the opponent rotation system. In the past, you had to wait a certain amount of time each day before you could unlock 4 new teams to play against. Now, you can update your opponents whenever you want. Be careful though, as only the first 40 opponents you face will award you points for the weekly ranking. However, you will have the opportunity to continue playing once this limit is reached.
Play every game to climb the rankings
The matches you play will help you progress within the dynamic ladder (like the FUT Champions ranking). The team score and difficulty level will determine your maximum potential winnings and a final game summary will detail your points earned. These ranking points allow you to reach different ranks, from bronze to top 100. Weekly rewards depend on the rank you can achieve in a week of games.
In order to obtain the maximum number of ranking points, we advise you to adapt your difficulty according to the rating of the team you are about to face. Choose a difficulty higher than your usual level for teams with a score below 75 and a lower difficulty from 85. It is always better to emerge with four victories than to stick to the same difficulty for all the challenges. Also try to keep your defences tight, as bonus points are awarded for clean sheets. You will also get bonuses for scoring goals, 100 points per goal, although this may never exceed 500 points.
Finally, the amount of points you need in order to achieve a certain rank will change each week. This varies depending on the performances of other players involved in Squad Battles from one week to the next. The more points other players collect, the harder it is to reach the ranks.
