With the redesign of Kick Off in FIFA 19, EA Sports added a touch of lightheartedness to its football simulator. After the success of the introduction of House Rules, they've decided to introduce it to Ultimate Team for FIFA 20 via FUT Friendlies, allowing you to use your FUT squad against a friend or random player in a variety of fun game modes.
What House Rules can you play in FUT 20?
House Rules modes from FIFA 19 have been transferred over to FIFA 20 Ultimate Team. They include:
- Headers and Volleys
- Long Range
- No Rules
- Survival
Two additional new House Rules modes have been introduced for FIFA 19 which will be implemented in Ultimate Team, Kick Off and Pro Clubs. They are:
- Mystery Ball (a new ball enters play each time the previous one leaves. Each ball has different boosts to player's attributes)
- King of the Hill (keep the ball inside a control zone to build your goal meter. A goal can count as 2 or 3 goals depending on level of your goal meter)
And finally, there are two new Ultimate Team exclusive modes. They are:
- Max Chemistry (all players are given 10 chemistry, regardless of their positions, leagues and nationalities)
- Swaps (3 players from your squad are swapped with 3 players from the opponent's squad)
Playing against friends
Not only can you use your FUT squads against your friend's team, you can also track your stats against them throughout the duration of FUT 20.
Contracts and fitness will not be used up during friendly matches and red cards and injuries will not be carried over to your next match, meaning it's a great place to try out new players without wasting your precious consumables.
