Silk Threads are a core resource you'll need to level your Weaving Trade Skill in New World, and the Silkweed plant they are sourced from is found all over Aeternum. Here are the best places to look.

Where to find Silkweed for Silk Threads in New World

Silkweed is a plant found in the wilds of New World which players can farm for the key resource Silk Threads.

A tall green plant with slightly darker purple flowers than the Hemp plant, it is found quite infrequently. However, there are a few notable clusters.

Here's what you'll need and where the best areas are to find Silkweed in New World.

What do you need Silkweed & Silk Threads for in New World?

The second-tier plant for Weaving, harvesting Silkweek will give you a sizeable number of Silk Threads. These are used to create Silk, a Tier IV cloth. This is then used in a number of Armoring, Weaponsmithing, Engineering and Furnishing recipes.

In order to harvest Silkweed plants, you'll need a Harvesting Sickle. There's a level cap of 100 you have to reach in Harvesting, and you'll be able to track Silkweed nodes from Harvesting Skill Lv. 125.

A refiining skill that will provide you with Linen and other key resources for crafting, here's all you need to know about Weaving in Amazon's New World.

The best locations to farm Silkweed & Silk Threads in New World

Primarily found in the north of Aeternum, there's three or four heavy clusters that can be found. However, be prepared to enter mid-range zones.

Mourningdale and Restless Shore

This route has you doing a fair bit of walking, but there are plenty of nodes. Start by fast travelling into Mourningdale Hamlet, then head south, roughly following the river.

From Menkar, through Karaka, then Marsic, following the waterline past Serpans and down to the Accursed Camp in Restless Shore, you'll end up right near the Shrine of Sisyphos so you can fast travel to your base.

Southern Weaver's Fen

There's plenty of Silkweed in Weaver's Fen. All you need to do is fast travel into the South Pestilence Shrine, and you should see your compass light up with nodes as you head south and east towards Fisher's End.

This is good for a short, self-contained run that doesn't take you too far from the fast travel point.

Throughout Eastern Brightwood

Possibly the route with the most potential, fast travel into Brightwood Hamlet and then head south to Chancellor's Torment.

The nodes will start lighting up on your compass as you head south and east, mostly close to the river.

At the end, you won't be too far from the fast travel point at Alchemist's Shrine.

The easy option in Monarch's Bluffs

If you're still low level and don't want to venture into dangerous zones, there's a few nodes hiding at Divine Rise in the northeast of Monarch's Bluffs.

Fast travel into the shrine at Achernar Gate, and then head over the mountainous region. The Silkweed spawns in the valley around Howltower Hollow.
