Where to find Tundra Elementals in New World

Tundra Elementals are a special type of creature in New World, in that their corpses are not skinned like regular creatures. Instead, they are mined or logged, providing you've hit Mining or Logging Lv. 100.

Appearing as large wolves with a green glow, here are the best locations for Tundra Elementals in Aeternum.

What do you need Tundra Elementals for in New World?

The reason Tundra Elementals are such a valuable resource in New World is because of the potential drops. You could score the following from both the Mining and Logging versions:

  • Starmetal Ore
  • Water Quintessence
  • Fae Iron
  • Voidmetal
  • Cobalt (Sliver, Shard, Chunk)
  • Crystal (Sliver, Shard, Chunk)
  • Wyrdwood
  • Life Quintessence

You'll need Luck to get Fae Iron, Voidmetal, Cobalt and Crystal from Tundra Elementals, so make sure you have rare item perks and Mining food buffs on the go when you mine their bodies.

Scoring a Chunk of Cobalt is good here, as that adds the Adored Mining Perk to crafted gear, a massive +9.5% chance of finding rare items when mining.

Quintessences are reagents for high-level potions and tinctures and in cutting Pristine-quality gems, and in crafting Legendary-quality Life Staff and Ice Gauntlet weapons.

Fae Iron and Voidmetal are desirable rare metals used in crafting weapons and armor, while Wyrdwood

In order to mine or log Tundra Elementals, you'll need a Mining Pickaxe and a Logging Axe. There's a level requirement of 100 to harvest them, but you cannot track them.
