Sometimes Santa Claus delivers his Christmas presents a little late. It's also the in Fortnite this year too. While it was supposed to start on December 17, the major Winterfest was apparently delayed by at least one day or more. Replacing the traditional 14 Days of Fortnite and bringing new challenges and gifts, this great celebration has had its insert — specifying the kick-off date — removed. Since yesterday we have been satisfied with a "Coming soon" inscription, without any specific date.
The datamininers had previously revealed the partial content of the update: daily challenges related to Christmas, as well as daily gifts.
This year the "14 Days of Fortnite" will be transformed into a Winterfest, starting on December 17. Dataminers have found files that reveal the new Christmas lobby, as well as the functionality of daily Winterfest gifts.
We were all hoping to see the Winterfest deployed with this morning's update v11.31. Unfortunately, this isn't the case.... However, this isn't a cancellation either since the "Winterfest" button is still available in the "News" window of the game.
Don't worry, we should soon have access to the gigantic virtual advent calendar and its surprises!
