Officially announced yesterday, update 11.31 will be deployed in the morning in Fortnite. It was via the Twitter Fortnite Status account that the information was confirmed. Epic Games has announced that the patch will require maintenance during which the game will be unavailable.
Maintenance is now over and servers are available. Update 11.31 must be downloaded in order to play.
The Winterfest didn't arrive at the same time as update 11.31! It will therefore be necessary to wait a little longer before enjoying the content of the new event.
A very short official patch note should arrive after the maintenance period, maybe to announce the last elements of the Fortnite x Star Wars collaboration.
This year the "14 Days of Fortnite" will be transformed into a Winterfest, starting on December 17. Dataminers have found files that reveal the new Christmas lobby, as well as the functionality of daily Winterfest gifts.
