The Christmas spirit is in the air of Apollo Island on the eve of the beginning of Fortnite Winterfest. On the game client, Epic Games warns us that the festivities will consist of challenges and gifts. Some dataminers extracted files from the game that reveal various elements of the Winterfest, more specifically the new lobby and the functionality of daily gifts.
New lobby and access to the "Cabin"
It's hard to say if this lobby will arrive on December 17 — only few days after the implementation of the Star Wars lobby — but one thing is certain: it'll fully immerse you in the warm Christmas atmosphere.
This lobby leads us to a feature called "Cabin", and by pressing the button we end up in a cosy wooden cabin, decorated with gifts.
Daily gifts?
Once there, we discover what the famous daily Christmas gifts will probably be. For a fortnight, our first daily connection will be embellished with a gift (skins? emotes? banners?). In view of the leaks below, it should be noted that the gifts seem to stack up if you fail to connect during a Christmas season day. Good news for those who may not attend regularly!
All this will be released with new challenges, which will also have to be completed every day.
