It isn't v11.50 which is supposed to close Chapter 2 Season 1, but this "surprise" update does contain some notable elements. It explains what to expect after maintenance.

Fortnite update patch notes, v11.50 on January 29

It wasn't announced by Epic Games, but a rather substantial update was deployed on Wednesday, January 29 in Fortnite. It's not the v11.50 update — which will be the last big content patch of the season — scheduled for early February. This update fixes some bugs that were annoying players on the battle royale, and adds some content on the Save the World mode.

Also, and this is the most interesting thing, this update has allowed dataminers to anticipate some of the changes brought by the 11.50 patch and the start of Chapter 2 Season 2.

Work in progress

Epic Games hasn't yet released an official patch note summarizing the contribution of this update. We're working on gathering the new elements included in this patch.

List of patches deployed in v11.50 (early February)

  • Fixed the edit problem when the player looks down.
  • NFL team outfits will have the numbers displayed on the front instead of the back.
  • Fixed the zip line bug.
  • Fixed matchmaking issue for some beginner console players.

List of patches deployed in Season 2 (February 20)

  • Fixed problems browsing the friends list.
  • Fixed the problem that led to raising his randomly fallen allies.
  • Fixed a problem on the loading screen.
  • Fixed the crash problem in the "joystick settings" menu.
Is the Team Rumble mode be even more dynamic in Chapter 2 Season 2?

The Team Rumble — a joyful 20-to-20 scrum — is one of the few Fortnite modes to have acquired the permanent status on the Epic Games battle royale. In the upcoming season, the mode will be even more intense thanks to a few modifications.
