After unveiling its strategy to develop esports on Valorant, Riot Games began to conclude partnerships with esports organizations around the world. North America had its own tournament hosted by T1 and Nerd Street Gamers. It took place June 26-28.
Team SoloMid finally won the competition by defeating T1 in the Grand Final. reltuC and his team left with the $50,000 promised to the winners and the title of champions of the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Valorant Showdown, the first major tournament since the official release of Valorant.
Nevertheless, there is a small difference compared to the two tournaments already announced. Out of the 16 places in the tournament, four slots are to be won during the qualifying rounds that will take place on June 20-21. The rest is reserved for teams composed of players, streamers and influencers. These haven't yet been officially announced.
