One year has passed since Valorant's release. Yesterday we told you about one of the big announcements from the team behind the game: a brand new mobile version is in the works.
However, the surprises are still going. Comms Associate Jeff Landa revealed the plan for different events under the name "VALORANT YR1". During this month, all players will be able to enjoy some interesting things. Let's give them a look.
NIGHT.MARKET (6/2)
You can already see what six random and unique skins you can buy with a discount.
GIVE BACK BUNDLE (6/2)
Since yesterday, players can vote four weapon skins of their preference to bring them back in the market. You have time to vote here until June 7, and on June 16 the winners will be announced. Then, you will be able to purchase the selected skins between June 22 and July 8.
It's worth mentioning that there's a solidarity side with this bundle. 50% of the proceeds from Weapon skins and 100% from accessories are destined to the Riot Games Social Impact Fund. You can know more about the program by visiting this site.
PLAYER CARDS (6/9)
Three unique cards will be able for you to collect:
- EP1 (6/9) - Keep your eyes peeled for where to find this drop.
- EP2 (6/14) - Coming your way via a special YR1 Prime Gaming Drop.
- EP3 - Collect as part of the first ever YR1 Event Pass.
COMMUNITY BATTLEPASS (6/13-6/25)
Every player in every region will be able to vote for unique items that they want to be added in a future Battlepass in Episode 4. There's no further information about how this voting will be handled.
WWFEST RETURNS (6/25)
wwFest is an experimental art and music festival that will have a new edition soon. This time, it will feature "artists performing around the world, with an all-new headliner."
YR1 EVENT PASS (6/22-7/6)
7 levels of exclusive YR1 items will be available for everyone for free. You only need to unlock them by playing matches.
EPISODE 3 LIVESTREAM (6/21)
Episode 3 is coming after YR1 events. You will be able to watch the devs' livestream on June 21 at 10:00 a.m. (PT).
SQUAD BOOST (6/22-7/26)
For more than one month, you'll learn bonus XP while playing with friends.
- Duos: 8% XP boost.
- Three players: 12%
- Four: 16%
- A full team: 20%
Squad Boosts applies to every mode except custom.
ACCOUNT LEVELING (6/22)
"A new way to recognize and reward you for your time playing VALORANT" will be revealed during Episode 3 livestream.
