According to Riot Games, VALORANT has held 14 million players each month since its launch last year. To celebrate the anniversary of the game, as well as the successful first year, Riot has announced that the VALORANT franchise will be expanded and will also host an in-game event through June.
While not a lot is known about VALORANT Mobile, Riot has confirmed a couple of things.
Firstly, this seems to only be the start. Riot plans to expand VALORANT, starting with Mobile, but kept the rest of the plan hidden. VALORANT's Executive Producer, Anna Donlon, has also confirmed that this will neither be a spin-off nor a different type of game.
No date has been given for when to expect the release, much less on how we should expect it to look. Rumours of VALORANT Mobile have been going on for some time, in 2020 dataminers found settings for Mobile controls and an entire list of settings.
With Wild Rift having kicked off with such a success, and quickly gaining momentum in the competitive and esports world, there is nothing to stop VALORANT Mobile from doing the same.
