If you use Time Travel on Animal Crossing New Horizons, in order to speed up or rewind time, then you are probably already aware that a brand new seasonal item has been added to the game since the big November 2.0 update. 2021. This update not only allowed players to discover an abundance of new content, such as Astrid, the Kitchen, Robusto and its Café or even new inhabitants, but also to take advantage of a range of new objects to decorate their islands. If the list of these objects in question was revealed on the day of the update, thanks to dataminers, some may have gone unnoticed because of their "rarity". And by rarity, I mean being available only at a specific time of year.
So, although ACNH will never be updated again (content-wise anyway), players who don't use Time Travel can take advantage of some nice little updates in 2022, thanks to seasonal events.
The Tomato Festival in 2022: a novelty not to be missed!
Unlike previous Animal Crossing installments, the Switch version doesn't offer any special events per se in the town square. (RIP the groundhog party). That said, players can take advantage of many seasonal items to buy directly in the "temporary items" section of Nook Shopping , the application available on the Nookphone or on the Residents' Office terminal.
Thanks to the last big update of the game, new articles have been added to the game (see second part of the article) but a new party has also been added for the month of August! This is the Tomato Festival. By logging in between August 20 and August 31 , you can then obtain this adorable exclusive T-shirt:

A little catch-up lesson if you haven't paid attention to the new seasonal items added in 2022 to New Horizons.
- New Year: a range of small figurines of zodiac animals, available from December 22 to January 5,
- Shogatsu: Japanese Osechi envelope and bento have been added, available from December 22 to January 5,
- Nanakusa Gayu: a superb Japanese dish, available from January 5 to 7,
- Carnival of Venice: an elegant mask for Carnival, available in February,
- Sunflower solar frame: available for the summer solstice
- Maypole: available for the summer solstice
- Yuzu bath: available for the winter solstice
