Things are going fast with Teamfight Tactics, and updates are constantly raining on the Convergence. However, this one is kind of special since it adds to the game a new rarity system for loot boxes: the Mystery Boxes. Yeas, you read it well: you might have the chance to drop an Epic loot box instead of the rubbish Common on. Some might argue that this change is another RNG factor within a game environment that's already swarmed with it, and they might not be completely wrong about that. The question remains and requires further testing...

New Item Drop System
Among a lot of different features and tweaks, Patch 9.18 should also bring a new item distribution system. Gold, items, but also consumables and champions should soon be available within loot boxes! Check this out!

- Uncommon Boxes contain item components, gold, champions, or Neeko's Help
- Rare Boxes contain Spatulas, full items, gold, champions, or Neeko's Help

XP Adjustments
Because of the new Mystery Boxes, the required XP to level-up needed to be tweaked.
- Level 5: 10xp ⇒ 12xp
- Level 6: 18xp ⇒ 20xp
- Level 7: 30xp ⇒ 32xp
- Level 8: 46xp ⇒ 50xp
- Level 9: 64xp ⇒ 70xp
Champion Tier Drop Rates
Champion Pool Sizes
According to Riot, it's too easy to actually three-star a Tier 3 Champions — so they reduced the number of Tier 3 pieces within the pool, from 21 to 18.
Item Stacking and Clarity
"We took a pass at all the items to ensure that they stack in a sensible way, and that we’re informing you when they don’t. Adding copies of items that do not stack will now cause them to bounce off any champion they are placed on. Unique items will be labelled as such in their tooltips.
