After Las Vegas and Seoul, the Hearthstone Esports team picked a European city to conclude the Masters Tour circuit: Bucharest!
Players from all over the world will gather in Romania to compete, in order to grab a part of the $500,000 prize pool. From October 17 to October 20, the PGL studios will welcome around 300 qualified players.
Qualification Rules
To qualify for Masters Tour Bucharest, players need to fulfill one of the following conditions:
- Win first or second place in an online Masters qualification tournament between July 4 and August 25.
- Win first or second place in an on-site Masters qualification tournament during the Seoul Masters Tour.
- Reach the top 8 in 6 qualifying tournaments for the Masters Tour of Bucharest.
- Reach the top 4 of a qualification event for games ranked in July or August (see the official Masters qualification rules for more information).
- Be part of the Hearthstone Grandmasters.
Hearthstone returns to its roots
In 2014, Bucharest held one of the first Hearthstone open LAN on the occasion of DreamHack Bucharest. Hearthstone esports are returning to their roots in Romania!

Format
The number of Swiss round has been reduced and the COnquest format is back in Bo5 (four decks and one ban). All players getting at least a 7-2 score at the outcome of the Bucharest tournament will qualify for Masters Tour Arlington and the next event.
- Day 1: 5 rounds of Swiss pairings
- Day 2: Players with 3 or more match wins will advance to day 2, which will feature 4 more Swiss pairings rounds.
- Day 3: The top 8 players will advance into a single-elimination playoff.
