Bethesda just published all the details regarding the preload time and the exact release time for DOOM Eternal.
DOOM Eternal: Pre-load
For those who have pre-ordered the game, it's already possible to preload DOOM Eternal on Xbox One.
For PS4 and PC (Steam and Bethesda.net), you'll have to wait 48h before the release date, i.e. March 18th.
Doom Eternal: Launch time
- PS4 and Xbox One: 12:00am midnight, ET on March 20.
- PC (Steam and Bethedsa.net): 9:01PM Pacific Time on March 19 (12:01AM ET March 20).
- Stadia: 12:01 AM ET on March 20.
- Switch: Later this year.
DOOM Eternal: Console features
You can find details of the PC requirements here. The priority was apparently to provide 60 FPS on all the consoles.
- Xbox One X: 4K (2160p) up-sample from 1800p to 60 FPS and HDR.
- PS4 Pro: 4K (2160p) up-sample from 1440p to 60 FPS and HDR.
- Xbox One & Xbox One S: 1080p up-sample at 60 FPS from 900p and HDR.
- PS4: 1080p at 60 FPS and HDR.
- Stadia: 1080p at 60 FPS on HD displays, and up-sample up to 2160p from 1800p to 60 FPS on 4K displays. Also includes HDR.
Weapons are as prominent as the Doom Slayer in DOOM Eternal. Iconic arms are back for the latest instalment in the long-running series, including the BFG, alongside new tools like the Doomblade.
