The crazy world of Borderlands will be available on 29 May 2020 on Nintendo Switch with the "Borderlands Legendary Collection" pack.
For all fans of the series, this version includes Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.
- Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition: The game that started it all, brought up to date. Survive Pandora, enjoy the shooting game with your friends, and customize your Arc Hunter by choosing from one of the four available mercenaries.
- Borderlands 2: Protect Pandora from Handsome Jack in this cooperative game, collect and equip yourself with the best weapons to achieve your goals in the desolate lands.
- Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel: Experience an explosive game as Handsome Jack ascends to power.
The 2K Games studio and Turn Me Up Games and Behaviour Interactive developpers have already announced that this new version can be played alone as well as in cooperation. So whether you're a lone bandit or a group of sadists, Borderlands Legendary Collection will satisfy all your desires: play solo or as a duo thanks to the split screen of your console or in a squad thanks to the online mode.
This new format promises players a qualitative gaming experience with 1080p and 30fps resolution. It would also be compatible with the motion sensor function available on the Switch. A good way to avoid missing your target and making a fool of yourself, unlike Claptrap. Of course, the performance remains to be defined in view of the fact that ports on the Switch regularly have problems in this area.
Given the absence of the third volume of the series in Borderlands Legendary Collection, the game will not include the "Commander Lilith and the Battle for Sanctuary" expansion that links Borderlands 2 and 3.
However, with Borderlands offering the ability to customise its hunter, it wouldn't be surprising for Nintendo to include cosmetics featuring their iconic mascots such as Mario, Zelda and Pokémon.
But only time will tell...
