At the end of May, a special event was held for beta testers of Harry Potter Wizards Unite.
Fans have been waiting for the event to return for the worldwide player base, and now Niantic have brought it to the masses!
The event began yesterday, July 3, at 6:00 p.m. local time. It runs until the same time on July 10.
In terms of plot, Hagrid asks you to help him find Brilliant versions of Foundables. Players will also be able to find special 7 km Portkey Portmanteaus.
During the event, the spawn rate of Foundables will increase and, as expected, it will be possible to find them in Brilliant form.
Event Description
"The Forbidden Forest has been thrown out of sorts by the Calamity. Lend Hagrid a helping hand by returning the forest's missing flora and fauna to its proper place."
Special Quests
Special time-limited quests are available during the event. You will need to complete several per stage, and you will earn rewards for each successful quest. If all quests in the same group have been completed, more rewards will be given.
The more tasks you complete, the more you can unlock new ones, until you reach the final quests that give the best rewards.

- Return 2 Foundables of any Family (Reward: 2 Restricted Section Books)
- Unlock 1 Portkey Portmanteau (15 Brilliant Family XP)
- Dine at Inns 2 times (10 Brilliant Family XP)

Fantastic Flora and Fauna II
- Return 2 Brilliant Buckbeak Foundable Fragments (300 XP)
- Return 3 Magizoology Foundables (10 Brilliant Family XP)
- Perform 2 Great Spell Casts (15 Brilliant Family XP)
Rewards: 25 Brilliant Family XP, 1 Brilliant Scorched Tree Stump Foundable Fragment, 3 Restricted Section Books
Fantastic Flora and Fauna III
- Return 7 Medium Threat Foundables (400 XP)
- Return 2 Brilliant Unicorn Foundable Fragments (500 XP)
- Return 4 Care of Magical Creatures Family Foundables (15 Brilliant Family XP)
Rewards: 25 Brilliant Family XP, 3 Restricted Section Books, 2 Potent Exstimulo Potions

- Unlock 5 Portkey Portmanteaus (750 XP)
- Brew 7 Potions (10 Brilliant Family XP)
- Complete 3 Wizarding Challenges (15 Brilliant Family XP)
