Gearbox is starting to react to the players' grumbling, but maybe not as they had hoped. This first hotfix focuses on closing known loot wells and lowering the loot in chaos mode.

Borderlands 3 — Patch Notes, Hot Fixes [Updated 9/19/2019]

As we mentioned in our review, this new Borderlands is full of bugs and vulnerabilities that make hunting for Legendary much less exciting. Too bad, because the heart of the gameplay is very good and we are looking forward as much as many Ark Hunter to being able to explore the Borderlands in optimal conditions.

With this first hotfix, Gearbox focuses on a few balancing on the loot, while specifying that optimization improvements were in progress and that this first patch was delivered immediately because the corrections made by the latter are finally the fastest to apply.

To ensure that Borderlands 3 updates correctly, be sure to be connected to the Internet when you arrive on the game's home screen. If you leave it before the patch is applied you will have to re-download it from the beginning.

Hot Fixes, September 19,2019

  • Yellow paint has been added to Ambermire to mark a more obvious path to complete the Sabotage Crew Challenge.
  • The New-U Station in front of the Halcyon Suborbital Spaceport (used during the 'Space-Laser Tag' Mission) in the Meridian Metroplex now has a larger activation range.
  • The New-U Station in front of Titian’s Gate (used during the 'Atlas, At Last' Mission) in the Meridian Metroplex now has a larger activation range.
  • The first Guardian a player runs into during the 'Beneath the Meridian' mission is no longer over-leveled.
  • The Eridian chest by the Grotto in the Jakob’s Estate is no longer invisible.

Balance

  • Eridium crystals in Voracious Canopy grow less frequently.
  • Scaled down the amount of loot drops in Mayhem Mode.
  • Torgue shotgun sticky damage has been reduced.
  • Reduced E-Tech shotgun elemental damage from “flesh off your bones' to 'a lot'.
  • Chupacabratch dropped too much of his hard-earned loot.
  • Adjusted spawn rate of Loot Tinks in Mansion. They’re special again.
  • Removed pain-sounds from Troy for his boss fight.
