Borderlands 3 — Kill o' The Wisp, a legendary weapon

Here is another Elemental shotgun that Maliwan fearsome in BL3: Kill O' the Wisp. Throw huge electric balls to decimate your enemies without having to aim. Statistics, video demonstration, how to get it, find it all here.

Interesting legendary weapons are one of the strengths of Borderlands 3, and Maliwan has made many of its weapons, such as the Trevonator for example. Kill-o'-the-wisp is another Elemental pump rifle, whose operation really has little in common with a ballistic weapon of this category. In addition to having a name that is difficult to write, this weapon throws a large electric ball in front of it that will electrocute all the enemies several times in its path. If you are one of those people who have trouble aiming precisely, this is a weapon for you.

The damage caused by electric arcs is significant, and they are likely to inflict absolutely massive electrical damage over time. This makes it a devastating weapon against orders from weak or intermediate enemies. Against large bosses, it also proves to be formidable since their hitbox exposes them to numerous attacks from one of the game's best legendary weapons. But for those on a human scale as well as brutal enemies, it tends to lack a little punch, unless it has bonuses for the chance to apply its damage over time via a relic or class talents.

How to get it

Unfortunately, this weapon seems to be part of the generalist loot of Borderlands 3, and the bosses at Maliwan don't seem to have any additional chance of dropping it.

Statistics

It seems that this weapon is only available with electrical damage, which is quite logical. And it does not have a secondary firing mode with another element, which is very rare for this manufacturer. At least it won't be too difficult to find a good version.

Borderlands 3 — Patch Notes, Hot Fixes [Updated 9/19/2019]

Gearbox is starting to react to the players' grumbling, but maybe not as they had hoped. This first hotfix focuses on closing known loot wells and lowering the loot in chaos mode.
