After many competitions across the year, the competitive season on FIFA 19 is approaching its end. Over the next two weekends the top 64 Xbox and PS4 players in the rankings are competing for one of 32 spots (16 per platform) for the FIFA eWorld Cup final and a share of the $250,000 cash prize, with the winner taking home $75,000. Those who qualify for the finals will be one step closer to becoming world champion.
It is the Xbox players who are opening the playoffs from July 5 to 7 in Hamburg. The competition is live this weekend and you can watch all the action in the Twitch stream above. The first game kicks off at 1 pm CEST/ 12 pm BST / 7 am ET each day, with the grand final on Sunday July 7 set to kick off at 7:15 pm CEST / 6:15 pm BST / 1:15 pm ET.
Notable players in this weekend's Xbox One competition include Donovan "TekKz" Hunt, who has more than double the Global Series points than second place Mossad “MSdossary” Aldossary, who is also competing this weekend. However both players already have more than enough points to qualify for the eWorld Cup so are just playing for prize money and pride this weekend.
French player Lucas "DaXe" Cuillerier is just behind them in the standings and should also qualify for the finals easily. All three of these players will be expecting to make it to the very final stages of the competition, and will no doubt head into the eWorld Cup as favorites to take the win and become world champion.
