Where to catch all Unown in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

When descending the Solaceon Ruins, there are two types of room on each floor.

The first is the floor's main lobby, which will have several exits.

There is also the large hall on the bottom floor, which has four items to collect and a message on the wall.

One of these will lead downwards, the others take you to small, dead-end rooms.

Each of these has a rock in the centre, some of which contain items. Make sure you check them all for an Escape Rope, a Repel, and a Big Mushroom.

Each of the five main lobby rooms as you descend, as well as the final main hall, contains only one Unown, spelling out the word "FRIEND" when you catch them all.

For example, you could run around the main hall for an hour encountering Unowns, but it would only ever be the "D" variant.

For the other 20 letters of the alphabet, you'll need to battle repeatedy in the small, dead-end rooms. This is a grind, but shouldn't take too long.

Unlock the Ruin Maniac Tunnel for ! and ? Unown in the Solaceon Ruins

Entering the cave from Route 214 in the west (south of Veilstone City), you'll come across the Ruin Maniac. He'll challenge you to a race of sorts - catch all 26 letter Unowns before he can dig through to Solaceon Ruins.

Basically, the more you catch, the more complete the tunnel. Once he's done, the full tunnel will be unlocked and you'll be able to catch the final two ! and ? Unown variants.

You'll also be able to battle wild Pokemon here, including the rare Hippopotas.

Remember to pick up TM28 Dig near the exit to Route 214!
