Introduced in the Wrath of the Lich King Classic expansion of World of Warcraft during Phase 1 , the White Polar Bear is a mount rewarding players who have had a significant luck rate by completing certain daily quests of the expansion. . This is a ground mount available to both Horde and Alliance players.
How to get White Polar Bear in WotLK Classic?
The White Polar Bear is quite unknown to many players, however it remains one of only two "bear" type mounts available in WotLK Classic, the other being a PvP reward: the Black War Bear. It doesn't require defeating a spectacular boss or completing a complex achievement. To get it, you need to be pretty lucky after completing your Storm Peaks daily quests, that's all!
Obtaining this mount requires that you have a character of at least level 77 and that you complete a rather long series of quests in the Storm Peaks starting with Gretchen Pfutincelle at K3 as follows:
After completing all of these quests, you will gain access to new daily quests in Brunnhildar as well as an automatic transformation into a Hyldnir from that village as soon as you pass by which will make all women in that village and their friendly allies towards you!
The rest is quite simple: you must complete the two daily quests available in Brunnhildar each day among the four possible until you obtain the White Polar Bear in the Hyldnir Loot that each one offers you as a reward. This gives you 2 chances per day to obtain this rather unique and pretty mount! The White Polar Bear drop rate is estimated at around 3%, and it is only obtainable from Hyldnir Drops. Here is the list of daily quests available:
No prerequisites other than the aforementioned questline and level 77 are required to be able to access these daily quests (and therefore the mount). Not the slightest feat or the least particular technique. Finish the sequel, do your journaling and just cross your fingers to get it after a few days of farming! Finally, obtaining the White Polar Bear does not grant any achievement or feat, simply the pleasure of being able to ride it (and that's already not bad!).
