The Traveling Tundra Mammoth is one of the first multi-seat mounts in World of Warcraft, and the very first to have a vendor and a repairman on its back. These allow the player and their faction's allies (including those outside the party or raid) to sell and repair at will without having to visit a repairman or vendor in one of the game's towns. It is also one of only three mounts in Wrath of the Lich King that can carry three players from its holder's party or raid at the same time on its back.
Obviously, these serious advantages are not free. Very far from it. You'll need to shell out a total of 20,000 gold to get your hands on the Tundra Traveling Mammoth! Fortunately, there is a fairly simple way to significantly reduce the price of this fabulous mount: increase your reputations!
The Tundra Traveling Mammoth can be purchased from Mei Francis , near the Magical Menagerie in Dalaran. This exotic mount vendor is affiliated with the Kirin Tor, so you'll need to improve your reputation with this faction to get a 20% discount on the price of the expansion's most expensive mount, dropping the price to ... 16,000 gold coins! A nice sum certainly, but much less aggressive for the wallet than the original 20,000!
Finally, it is interesting to know that the two sellers present on this mount can be removed so that they leave their place to two members of your group. A small right click on the vehicle icon then "Eject the passenger" will be enough to make them leave until you re-summon your mammoth. The same system exists with the players on your mount: if they annoy you, do the same and throw them out: you haven't spent so many gold coins to be hassled by troublemakers anyway !
