No one expected Konami to do such a great job, yet this morning the Japanese publisher formalized an exclusive partnership with Juventus Football Club — provoking a major reaction on the web.
As a result, publisher EA was quick to clarify the impact of this announcement on FIFA 20.
Piemonte Calcio
This will be the Old Lady's new name in the next instalment of the long-running series.
In their press release, EA explained that although the name of the club, the jerseys and the badge will no longer be official, the names and likenesses of the players will remain unchanged.
So, you can still play with the real names and faces of Ronaldo, Dybala and Matuidi at the start, in Career Mode, Volta and FUT.
EA have not explained if it will be possible to use a customization tool to create your own outfits — as was the case in PES — but we strongly doubt that this will be possible on release.
Even if the community has hastened (humorously) to imagine what this could mean for FUT, we can reassure you that you won't be faced with pulling this card from packs...
In FUT mode, the team will also remain unchanged — Piemonte Calcio players will always benefit from special attributes based on their actual performance.
Only the badge on the map and the team name will be unofficial.
