The format of this season's competitive circuit in FIFA 20 has been detailed by EA Sports.
This is the list of events that will take place throughout the year, through which players will earn points for the Global Series and ultimately the FIFA eWorld Cup.
Categories
- Six FUT Champions Cup events (EA in collaboration with other event organizers)
- FIFA Majors: FIFA eClub World Cup and FIFA eNations Cup
- Licensed Qualifying Events (LQE): this season, only one LQE and exclusive to PlayStation
- National Championships: e-Ligue 1, ePremier League, and others
- eChampions League: exclusive to PlayStation
- eMA Trophy
- PlayStation national tournaments
Points Distribution (per event)
FUT Champions Cup
Like last year, there will be a FUT Champions Cup every month from November to May, for a total of six events.
This is the current schedule, subject to change:
FIFA Majors
This applies to the FIFA eClub World Cup and the FIFA eNations Cup.
Licensed Qualifying Events
National Leagues
This includes the ePremier League and e-Ligue 1.
eChampions League
eMA Trophy
PlayStation National Tournament
FUT Champions
Like last year, weekend leagues also award points for the standings, but much less than for competitions.
Global Series Playoffs (per platform)
This competition will be open only to the 64 best PS4 and Xbox One players who have managed to qualify through ranking points.
It represents the last chance for players to earn qualifying points for the FIFA eWorld Cup.
