In Pokémon GO, just like in the main Pokémon games, you can control the evolution of your Eevee in order to have all forms in your Pokédex.
Be aware that this nickname trick only works once for each evolution, after which it will be done randomly or through other methods explained below.
To evolve, simply rename your Eevee with the desired name before evolving with the right amount of Candy.

Evolve Eevee into Umbreon and Espeon
For Umbreon and Espeon, it is possible to control their evolutions at any time through this normal technique:
- Make Eevee your Buddy Pokémon
- Walk 10km with it
- Evolve it during the day to get Espeon
- Evolve it at night to get Umbreon
Eevee evolutions using Lure Modules
Two Lure Modules allow Eevee to evolve into Leafeon or Glaceon.
This module strongly attracts Pokémon of Water and Ice types.
It allows Eevee to evolve into Glaceon.
This module strongly attracts Pokémon of Bug, Grass and Poison types.
It allows Eevee to evolve into Leafeon.
How to evolve Eevee into Sylveon
The final piece of the Eevee availability puzzle in Pokémon GO, Sylveon joined the roster in May 2021.
While you can evolve it for the first time using the naming trick above, for further evolutions you will need to do the following:
- Set Eevee as your Buddy
- Earn a total of 70 hearts with your Eevee
- Evolve Eevee into Sylveon, using 25 Candy.
- You will know if you have reached 70 hearts, as the silhouette on the Evolve button will be of Sylveon.
