In Burning Crusade Classic, there are 27 specializations, plus Bear Form for the Druid. Whether you want to heal, tank or DPS in PvE, our tier list includes all class specializations and their updated rankings for the 2021 version of World of Warcraft's first expansion, The Burning Crusade.

Burning Crusade Classic: TBC PvE Specializations Tier List

In this Burning Crusade Classic tier list, we suggest our ranking of the best specializations in version 2.5.1 of the game. This list covers DPS, tanks, and healers mainly in raids -- but this is the heart of PvE in this expansion.

All this information comes from our memories, from our time spent on the Burning Crusade Classic Beta, and also from multiple community sources that we consider reliable.

  • Rank S: A specialization that excels in its field and generally has essential utility contributions to the raid.
  • Rank A: A good specialization in its field, and generally has good utility in raids.
  • Rank B: A middling specialization mainly appreciated for its utility contributions, rarely for its DPS or HPS.
  • Rank C: A weak specialization with little chance of performing, but can nevertheless find its place in a raid if the composition is adapted

PvE Tier List

This rating reflects a general editorial opinion regarding level 70 raids and instances -- it does not mean that any one class is absolutely unplayable or that another is so powerful it cannot be surpassed, just that in terms of DPS or raw HPS some are more powerful than others.

It is important to take into consideration the utility contribution of each specialization so that your raid composition is optimal.

The Shadow Priest, for example, is not among the best DPS, yet he brings a significant amount of mana to healers and even to the DPS in his group thanks to Vampiric Touch. This makes the Shadow Priest indispensable, even as far as multiples per raid party!

It is only a question of raids, and not of "boosts" or even 5-player instances.
