Burning Crusade Classic: All the Arena changes in Season 1

Significant changes have been introduced to the Burning Crusade Classic Arena matchmaking system — affecting many aspects including the number of players on each team, and the seasonal rewards.

Burning Crusade Classic: All the Arena changes in Season 1

With the rollout of Season 1, official changes have been announced to Arena matches and rewards in the remastered version of Burning Crusade Classic.

We've put together a list of all the changes you can expect.

  • Arena teams will all start at 0 instead of 1500
  • Diminishing Returns will have a 15-20 second cooldown
  • All equipment from PvP will require a consistent personal rating in order to be able to be purchased and equipped:

    - Shoulders: 2,200
    - Weapon: 2,050
    - Head: 1,700
    - Chest: 1,600
    - Legs: 1,550

One of the major roles of Burning Crusade Classic PvP is to be consistent as we move forward season after season and phase after phase. The developers believe these tweaks will encourage a healthier PvP environment allowing more prestigious players to get their armor pieces, Shoulders and Weapons in particular.

  • All Arena Point costs dedicated to purchasing Arena equipment will remain consistent throughout the entire Burning Crusade Classic season.
  • Arena Points are earned during the weekly reset and are based on the team with the most points.
  • To be able to obtain Arena Points, your personal rating must be in a window less than 150 points from that of your team, but you must also have played 10 matches and participated in at least 30% of the matches played by your team during the previous week.
  • Season 1 will feature a unique title dedicated to Rank 1 players: Infernal Gladiator.

Originally, titles dedicated to Rank 1 players were introduced with Season 2. This is, according to the developers, a good opportunity to introduce this system to Season 1 of Burning Crusade Classic.

  • Seasonal rewards will be granted to players who have reached the percentage dedicated to each bracket in their region:

    - Rank 1: The 0.1% best teams in each region
    - Gladiator: 0.5%
    - Duelist : 3%
    - Rival: 10%
    - Competitor: 35%

  • To qualify for a Seasonal Reward, your personal rating must be within 200 points of your team's, and you must have participated in at least 20% of the matches played by your team during the season. season.
  • The gold and green arena flags have been changed to gold and purple colored flags for more accessibility for color blind players.
  • Tornadoes will randomly appear in Nagrand Arena during Season 1.
