The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD has 24 Heart Pieces to be found in total. For every four you collect, you'll increase how much life you have by one Heart.
There are six Heart Pieces in Skyloft, the main town in Skyward Sword. Here we'll show you where to find them.
First Heart Piece - Skyloft
- Exact Location: Underwater, north of Kukiel's House
- Prerequisite: Obtain the Water Dragon Scale from Faron Woods
First, you'll need to return the Goddess Cube from Eldin Volcano, found on the eastern side of the area down a sand slide. Aim for the first platform.
Once you have that, take the underwater passage beneath Kukiel's's House in Skyloft.
Second Heart Piece - Skyloft
- Location:: Knight Academy
- Prerequisite: Obtain Clawshot from Lanayru Desert
Make your way up to the roof of the Knight Academy, and then use Clawshot under the roof of the chimney. Head through the passages to Zelda's room, where you'll find the Heart Piece in one of the drawers.
Third Heart Piece - Skyloft
- Location: Waterfall Cave
- Prerequisite: Obtain Clawshot from Lanayru Desert
Once the Pirate Stronghold Goddess Cube has been activated, head to the Waterfall Cave in Skyloft. You can cross the islands here by using Clawshot on the ivy, leading to the top. Here you'll fiind the Heart Piece.
Fourth Heart Piece - Skyloft
- Location: Sparring Hall
- Prerequisite: Learn Nayru's Wisdom, obtain the Second Flame in Lanayru Desert, and obtain the Wooden Bow on the Sandship
This one is a bit long-winded to get. After doing the above prerequisites, you'll need to complete Fledge's sidequest..
Visit him at night, and he'll ask for a couple of the Potions the next morning. Use his bed to advance time.
This needs to be done on two separate nights, and on the third night he'll give you some Gratitude Crystals.
With this sidequest done, he'll be outside the Sparring Hall and offers a brand new minigame. Obtain 600 points in this game to get the Heart Piece.
Fifth Heart Piece - Skyloft
- Location: Beedle's Shop
- Prerequisite: Purchase enough items to make it appear
This one is simple - unlock it by purchasing enough items, then the Heart Piece will become available for 1,600 Rupees.
However, if you complete the sidequest to find Beedle's Insect Cage, you can get the Heart Piece for half price.
This sidequest has you talk to Strich on Bug Island, who will ask you to collect 10 bugs in under three minutes. This is easier with the Big Bug Net, and once done, simply return the beetle he gives you to Beedle for your discount.
Be mindful that this discount will only apply to one item, as it's a one-off deal!
Sixth Heart Piece - Skyloft
- Location: Batreaux
- Prerequesite: Unlock Gratitude Crystals
This one is simple. Just return 10 Gratitude Crystals to Batreaux, and he'll give you the Heart Piece.
