Here is our complete guide to Talonflame, a melee Speedster in Pokémon Unite. From best items to the right move choices, our build guide should help you dominate on the field of battle.

Pokémon Unite: Talonflame Build Guide

One of the most mobile Speedsters, Talonflame is available as one of the choices following the Pokémon Unite tutorials.

Our guide helps you understand Alolan Ninetales' moveset and choose the best abilities as you level up, as well as suggest the best Held Items and Battle Items to equip.

You'll start the battle as Fletchling, evolving into Fletchinder at Level 5 and Talonflame at Level 7.

Talonflame: Item Choices

These are the items we recommend equipping on Alolan Ninetales before you head into battle.

Be mindful that you can equip up to three Held Items and one Battle Item. All stats are based on items being Level 1, without having been upgraded.

Held Items

Float Stone

Attack +1.6
Movement Speed 0

Increases movement speed by 10% when the Pokémon is not in combat.

Sp Atk Specs

Sp. Atk +0.8

When the Pokémon scores a goal, its Sp. Atk increases by 8.

Wise Glasses

Sp. Atk +10

Increases Sp. Atk by 3%.

Battle Item

Full Heal

Cooldown: 40 seconds

Removes all hindrances affecting your Pokémon and makes it immune to hindrances for a short time.

Given the hyper-mobility of Talonflame, Float Stone is a no-brainer. Backing it up with two items that increase Sp. Atk, Wise Glasses and Sp. Atk Specs, you'll be able to roam around the map at alarming speed, ganking lanes whenever you please.

The worst thing that can happen is being locked down by crowd control, so the Full Heal is your escape plan.

Talonflame: Starting Attack

Acrobatics

Cooldown: 7 seconds

Has the user fly toward the designated area and attack multiple times. Allows the user to sescape in a direction of their choice after using this move.

Both moves are viable to start with here, but we'd go with Acrobatics due to added escape ability.

Talonflame: Best Moves

As mentioned before, Talonflame is all about mobility. As such, you want moves that cause the most burst damage. Flame Charge and Fly are both AoE effect skills, and thanks to the Sp. Atk items we've chosen, the damage should be catastrophic for the enemy.

Flame Charge

Cooldown: 6.5 seconds

Flies in the designated direction cloaked in flame, attacking opposing Pokémon in the user's path. This also increases the user's movement speed.

Upgrade at Level 11: Also decreases the movement speed of opposing Pokémon for a short time when this move lands successfully.

Fly

Cooldown: 11 seconds

Flies up into the sky. Using this move again will cause the user to dive to the designated area and attack.

Upgrade at Level 13: Also throws opposing Pokémon that are in its area of effect when this move lands successfully.

Talonflame: Passive Ability

Gale Wings

When the Pokémon is at high HP, its movement speed is increased.
