Here is our complete guide to Garchomp, a tanky All-Rounder in Pokémon Unite. From best items to the right move choices, our build guide should help you dominate on the field of battle.

Pokémon Unite: Garchomp Build Guide

Garchomp is a tanky All-Rounder in Pokémon Unite, useful in any team comp. You can purchase it in the store for 10,000 Aeos Coins or 575 Aeos Gems.

Our guide helps you understand Garchomp's moveset and choose the best abilities as you level up, as well as suggest the best Held Items and Battle Items to equip.

You'll start battles as Gible, evolving into Gabite at Level 6 and Garchomp at Level 10.

Garchomp: Item Choices

These are the items we recommend equipping on Garchomp before you head into battle.

Be mindful that you can equip up to three Held Items and one Battle Item. All stats are based on items being Level 1, without having been upgraded.

Held Items

Shell Bell

Sp. Atk +1.6
Move Cooldown 0%

When the Pokémon hits with a move, it recovers a minimum of 45 HP. The higher the Pokémon's Sp. Atk, the more HP it recovers.

Focus Band

Def +2
Sp. Def 0

When the Pokémon drops to low HP, then each second for three seconds, it recovers 8% of the HP it had lost.

Assault Vest

HP +18 (+270)
Sp. Def 0 (+42)

When the Pokémon is not in combat, they are granted a shield that nullifies Sp. Atk damage equal to 9% of their max HP.

Battle Item

Eject Button

Cooldown: 55 seconds

Quickly moves your Pokémon in the designated direction.

Garchomp is feared by opponents due to its passive ability to reflect damage back onto the attackers, so the build focuses more on sustain. Shell Bell and Focus Band will help with that in battle, while you can dive out of skirmishes with Eject Button and allow Assault Vest to kick in.

Garchomp: Starting Attack

Bulldoze

Cooldown: 5 seconds

Has the user stomp down on the ground, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect.

This choice is pretty straightforward -- Bulldoze allows you do deal damage early on, rather than Sand Attack, which is purely utility.

Garchomp: Best Moves

You'll want to take advantage of the fantastic Dig-Earthquake combo, with which you can surprise your opponents and deal some pretty big damage in the meantime.

Dig

Cooldown: 8 seconds

Has the user move quickly underground and jump out when they come in contact with an opposing Pokémon, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect and throwing them. If this move is used inside Earthquake's area of effect, the ground will split open in the wake of the user, widening this move's area of effect.

Upgrade at Level 13: Increases the user's movement speed while this move is in effect.

Earthquake

Cooldown: 7 seconds

Has the user jump high into the air and crash forcefully to the ground, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect.

Upgrade at Level 14: Slows down movement speed of Pokémon within range of the attack.

Garchomp: Passive Ability

Rough Skin

When the Pokémon is struck by a melee attack, a portion of the damage received is reflected back at the attacker.
