Gamescom 2021: Halo Infinite finally has a release date for the campaign and multiplayer modes

No one quite understood why Halo Infinite wasn't part of Microsoft's Xbox Showcase event last night. The reason turned out to be because it was part of Geoff's Gamescom's Opening Night Live.

Finally, we got a release date for Halo Infinite, with the campaign and multiplayer modes launching together on December 8, as had been rumored.

The multiplayer was the first aspect of the game to be shown, with a cinematic trailer for the first season.

To coincide with the 20th anniversary of the Halo franchise, a commemorative controller and Xbox Series X will be available to purchase.
