New game modes, quality-of-life tweaks and a fresh take on objectives and rewards will be awaiting eager Ultimate Team players when FIFA 20 releases in September.
Here's a complete round-up of all the changes and additions that developers EA Sports have made to their most popular mode.
Season Objectives
A brand new system for objectives and rewards comes to FUT for FIFA 20.
Different types of objectives will result in rewards and XP, with the XP progressing you through reward tiers each season.
Check out our article that explains all the types of objectives and what kind of rewards you can get:
FUT Friendlies
FUT Friendlies gives you a risk-free and consumables-free arena to try out new players and tactics, playing single matches with your Ultimate Team squad against either your friends or random opponents.
The often serious and competitive nature of Ultimate Team has also been given a sprinkle of lightheartedness, with FIFA 19's House Rules being implemented into FUT.
Our article on FUT Friendlies explains all the new tweaks to friendly matches and goes over all the fun game modes in Ultimate Team House Rules:
New Icons
One of the most exciting parts of any knew FIFA in recent years has been trying to predict which new Icons will be added to Ultimate Team.
So far, the likes of Andrea Pirlo and Zinedine Zidane, amongst others, have been confirmed, with a few more expected to be announced before launch.

Customisation, management and more
Personalising your FUT club
Your customisation options have grown for FUT 20 with the addition of stadium themes, tifos, celebrations and custom balls as well as the addition of new badges. These elements will be unlockable via the new season objectives.
Simplified team management
Ultimate Team's squad management interface has always been slightly long-winded and clunky. However, EA have attempted to streamline and simplify the process with a reworked interface.
This includes a new wheel that will appear for an individual player when you press X/Square on them in your squad screen.
The wheel will show all available actions you can take, including applying consumables, quick selling and custom tactics.
Squad Battles revamp
For FUT 20, players will no longer have to wait for opponents to refresh in Squad Battles. You can summon four brand new teams to face at any time you want (with a maximum of 10 refreshes a week, meaning a total of 40 matches per week).
The mode's interface has also been revised, showing the opponent's formation and three top-rated players.
The end of kit clashes?
Kit clashes are one of the most infuriating aspects of online FIFA. EA Sports will now try to combat this with a new pre-match setup screen in which you can chose to play against your opponent in your own second kit to guarantee there will be no kit clash.
Quick sell multiple consumables
FINALLY. A collective sigh of relief rang out across the FIFA community when this small quality-of-life tweak was announced. You can finally select multiple consumables to discard in your club. Hallelujah.
FUT Champions red player card SBCs
From launch, FUT Champions players will have two repeatable SBCs at their disposal to try and upgrade the red FUT Champions players they receive in their rewards.
Division Rivals tweaks
There has been a rework to the Skill Rating needed to move up or down divisions.
In an attempt to shorten the time players in the top division wait when searching for an opponent, the Skill Rating cap for matchmaking is capped at 2200. However, players will be able to increase their Skill Rating beyond that.
