New Final Fantasy VII Remake trailer will drop VERY soon

The Tokyo Game Show is upon us, and while we're not sure what new games will be announced, Square Enix have — through a countdown on their Japanese website — got us all excited by the promise of a new trailer.

This will go live in less than six hours from now: that's 10AM EDT / 7AM PDT / 4PM CEST

Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Although the FFVII Remake was announced back in 2015, Square Enix have been notoriously silent — until this year, that is. Proving a hit with attendees at both E3 and PAX West, the title is fast becoming one of the most anticipated releases of 2020. Not that it wasn't already!

Planned to be released in episodic format, the first instalment drops exclusively for PlayStation 4 on March 3, 2020, and will cover the game's Midgar section.

What this means for the length of the experience remains to be seen, but the publisher has stated it won't be short. In the original, Midgar could be completed in just a few hours.

We'll bring you the full trailer as soon as it lands, so stay tuned!

The arrival of Final Fantasy VIII on modern consoles was something players had to be patient for, unlike other outings in the series. This comes after worries we would never see a port, given internal technical concerns, but thankfully it’s now here for our enjoyment.
