After a year of exclusivity on PlayStation 4, followed by the Intergrade PS5 upgrade, Final Fantasy VII Remake could land on PC very soon.
EpicData Tracker, a data tracking site, recently discovered the names "Final Fantasy VII Remake" and "Alan Wake Remastered" in the Epic Games Store database.
This week, a new leak on Rakuten's Thai store confirmed the release of Alan Wake Remastered on PS4, PS5 and Xbox in October, and if that information is correct, then it seems logical the other hald of the prediction is too.
According to the leak, FF7R is due a PC release, and seems to suggest that it will be an Epic Games Store exclusive.
Just a few months ago the entire Kingdom Hearts saga also saw an exclusive EGS release, after Square Enix concluded agreements with Sony and Epic.
One legitimately wonders if this way of working will also be the case for upcoming Square Enix titles, with the publisher having already made the announcement that Final Fantasy XVI would also be a timed PS5 exclusive.
In any case, Square Enix will make their strategy known sooner rather than later, perhaps as part of a Tokyo Games Show announcement - if not before.
