Square Enix have taken advantage of Halloween to reveal a classic enemy for the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Remake — the Ghost, most commonly found in the Train Graveyard.

As more information comes to light about the highly-anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake, we're learning more and more about the parallels between the classic PlayStation version and the new. 

Now, in a perfectly-timed reveal, a single screenshot shows the design of a common enemy from early in the Midgar section of the game — the Ghost, a frequent encounter in the Train Graveyard.

Having been dumped into the sewers by Don Corneo, Cloud, Tifa and Aerith have to pass through the haunted Graveyard on their way back to Sector 7.

While not particularly strong, these spectres disappear when they take damage or are pickpocketed. This can cause problems for early-game teams, but the Ghost Hand item they carry is also invaluable when Ethers are scarce.

We wonder if this mechanic will be the same in the Remake...

We've already seen a few creatures in the various trailers shown, but we're super curious to see how the team incorporates other classic enemies into the Remake!

There's a lot to digest thanks to Square Enix' latest Final Fantasy VII Remake trailer, unveiled as part of the Tokyo Game Show 2019. The Turks, summons, the crazy motorcycle chase and *that* iconic set piece are all on offer — all just serving to ramp up the hype!
