Competitive battles have been available since January 2020 in Pokémon GO. Now, by entering the GO Battle League, you can compete against players from all over the world.
Each season consists of the Great League, Ultra League, and Master League. Today, we're bringing you a tier list of the best Pokémon to use when you fight in the Ultra League.
This Tier list allows you to choose Pokémon that are easy to find if you don't have Legendary Pokémon (Tier 1).
In Ultra League, the maximum CP allowed is 2500.
Note that battles consist of a 1v1 format, using a team of three Pokémon. We will soon share another guide dedicated to the best team compositions for competitive play.
The toughest Pokémon are listed here, but you should pay attention to their stats when evaluating them. Try to keep only the best. Also, don't forget to unlock the second Charged Move for your Pokémon!

Which is the best team to use?
Currently, game data analyzed by Silph.gg allows us to see which teams are the most used in the Ultra League, particularly those with the highest winrates.
The top team is difficult to obtain, since you need to have captured Giratina and Suicune via Raids, and have completed the Special Research to get Mew. You'll also need 100 Candy for each Pokémon, in order to unlock their third move.
We'll discuss team compositions in an upcoming guide.
Moves: Shadow Claw / Dragon Claw / Ancient Power
Moves: Shadow Claw / Overheat / Psyshock
Moves: Snarl / Hydro Pump / Bubble Beam
