While competitive battles have been part of Pokémon GO since January, players can now compete against other Trainers from around the world in order to win rewards and increase their Rank. Competitive seasons are composed of the Great League, Master League, and Ultra League.
In this guide, you will find the best teams to use in the Ultra League, based on winrate and usage rate obtained from Sylph.gg.
The highest pick rate and win rate for the Ultra League
This is the trio with the current most wins.
Giratina (Altered Forme) and Mew are currently in the majority of winning compositions. You can replace Suicune with any of the following:
- Cresselia
- Deoxys (Defense Forme)
- Alolan Muk
- Dragonite
- Registeel
- Gallade
- Jirachi
- Lugia
- Articuno
All of these Pokémon are included in our tier list of the best Pokémon to use in the Ultra League.
Teams without Legendary Pokémon
If you don't have Legendary Pokémon such as Giratina, Suicune or Mew, here are some teams you can build for the Ultra League without them.
You can find a ranking of the best Pokémon on pvpoke.com.

Other starters are very strong include Typhlosion, Meganium and Blaziken.
The comp that breaks everything
Machamp is one of the strongest (and most accessible) Pokémon. Here's a team you might like:
You can also pair Machamp with Charizard.
Cute Team
Togekiss also happens to be one of the best Pokémon to use in the Ultra League.
Hopefully, these team ideas will help you win big in the Ultra League — feel free to tell us your ideal compositions in the comments!
