Baldur's Gate 3: Skills
If the stats form the basis of your character, the skills form the branches. They represent mastery of a wide range of fields and capacities linked to a specific statistic.
For example, a Magician may be very intelligent and know the mysteries well, but have neglected history or religion. A rogue can be good at lock-picking, but not necessarily for acrobatics. In all cases, it is generally better to choose skills related to its class and its main stat. And of course, vary the skills available in the group so that you can respond to as many situations as possible. Here are the skills related to the characteristics:
- Strength: Athletics
- Dexterity: Acrobatics, Discretion, Escape
- Constitution: None
- Intelligence: Arcane, Investigation, History, Nature, Religion
- Wisdom: Dressage, Medicine, Perception, Insight, Survival
- Charisma: Intimidation, Persuasion, Representation, Deception
Skills allow you to add your Proficiency bonus to your actions.
