After more than two years of early access, it's time for Baldur's Gate 3 to release. The game has evolved a lot over the updates. At the same time, the community is waiting to discover the content of Patch 9, which should be presented during a dedicated evening on December 14 with the developers.
As expected, Baldur's Gate 3 has clarified its release date, although it's not an exact date yet. We will have to settle for a simple August 2023 on PC, for the moment.
The eyes, Boo, aim for the eyes!
For various reasons, even though Baldur's Gate 3 takes place a century after the story of Baldur's Gate 2, Minsk the somewhat simple-minded lurker is still alive, even if he is obviously not in a good position, since he is a prisoner of a Mimic. Introduced for the first time in Baldur's Gate, the first of its name, this character, who is almost barbarian, also had the particularity of possessing a giant miniature hamster named Boo .
Collector's version
Baldur's Gate 3 is a big game, even though it's made by an independent studio, so it's entitled to a worthy collector's edition, limited to 25,000 copies. Its price is set at €259.99. It can be pre-ordered on the official website, at this address , if scalpers don't jump on it too quickly.
A patch 10 or even 11 to be expected?
While the release of Patch 9 is imminent, the release date is still over 8 months away. At the rate updates are going, we can expect there to be one to two more, especially considering the latest one as the one that sets the stage for release. Larian Studios has work ahead of it, as many classes and races are still missing from early access. We really hope that additional levels, as well as a new act, will be made available to players, in order to help fix the bugs.
