A mage support, Lulu's goal will be to dominate the lane at the beginning of the game, then to protect her carry with her arsenal of buffs at the end of the game.
The Summon Aery rune will grant you a poke bonus and extra shields on your spells.
Champion will allow you to inflict heavy pressure on the opponent's lane with a +10% bonus against enemy champions — if you don't die. Fortunately, Lulu can be played very well without putting herself in too much danger.
Loyalty is always a must in a duo lane, and will allow you to better endure the blows you both take.
Finally, Manaflow Band will give you extra mana reserves in the late game, when you can (and should) spam your shields.

Tips and Tricks
- Lulu's ultimate, Wild Growth, interrupts most enemy dashes against your target. Used at the perfect time, it can completely change countering an enemy attack.
- Whimsy is a great asset in dealing with assassins. Make sure you manage its use, as its cooldown is quite long. Use it against the main threat, rather than on an ally.
