Just picked up Galio in Wild Rift and need a few pointers? Don't worry, just read on for our guide and you'll be a master of support in no time!
Runes
As support, Galio is able to control attackers or engage in combat. In all cases, he's based on solid rotations and short cooldowns, making the Aftershock rune essential.
Also with this in mind, Weakness in red will increase your chances of picking up kills in the process.
In green, Loyalty comes in handy on Galio, since it will automatically connect to the allied champion you want to help with your ultimate, Hero's Entrance.
Finally, Hunter - Genius in blue will give you good CDR bonuses over the course of the game, to make your spell rotations more efficient in combat.
Skills
Here is the optimal skill order. Max out the abilities as outlined in the graphic below, though make sure you rank up your ultimate whenever you can.

Main Items
The items you buy in game will vary heavily from match to match, depending on what composition the enemy team is running.
We've put together a list of the most important items for Galio, ranked by their effectiveness. Items in bold are must-have items that you'll opt for in most, if not all, of your matches on this champion.
Tips & Tricks
- This Galio support build is geared towards the use of CC, and not ability power. Be careful not to spam your Winds of War in the laning phase, as this will cost you a lot of mana for little damage dealt.
- Taking Galio's first Hero's Entrance CC often means taking a full rotation of checks afterwards. Galio is perfect for thwarting hard enemy engagement on a fragile ally. Other opponents will think twice before entering your ultimate's zone of effect.
- The Justice Punch dash begins with a small step back. You can use this animation to your advantage, to dodge a skill or to throw an enemy behind you into the air.
